European veteran coaches who have coached Korean soccer star Son Heung-min (Tottenham) have found a home.

Coach Jose Mourinho (61) will lead Fenerbahce (Turkiye), and Antonio Conte (54) will lead Naples (Italy).

Reporter Fabrizio Romano, a source in the European soccer transfer market, announced on the 31st of last month (local time) that a contract was signed between coach Mourinho and Turkic professional soccer team Fenerbahce through social networking service (SNS). The period is until 2026.

Reporter Romano also wrote on social media that Coach Conte would be appointed to Naples. Coach Conte and Napoli, who are coordinating contract details, will work together until 2027 unless there are any special variables.

Local media Sky Sports Italia also announced that Coach Conte signed a three-year contract with Napoli. According to reports, Coach Conte is expected to receive an annual salary of 6 million euros (about 9 billion won) plus bonuses.

Coach Mourinho, who is considered one of the world’s greatest generals, will take charge of AS Roma in July 2021 after leading Benfica (Portugal), Chelsea (England), Inter Milan (Italy), Real Madrid (Spain), and Manchester United (England). Got it.

However, coach Mourinho, who was sacked last January when Roma slipped to 9th place in the Italian Serie A, is expected to return to the field after about 5 months through the Turkye Stage.

Coach Mourinho coached Son Heung-min while leading Tottenham (England) from 2019 to 2020.

Coach Conte was in charge of Tottenham from 2021 to last year.

Coach Conte, who has won several championships while leading Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Juventus (Italy), finished fourth in the 2021-2022 league, his first season at Tottenham, and won the right to participate in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

This season, Son Heung-min became the first Asian player to become the English Premier League (EPL) top scorer (23 goals).

However, during the 2022-2023 season, they were eliminated from the UCL, the English Football Association (FA) Cup, and the League Cup, and were confirmed to be ‘irrelevant’, and when they strongly criticized the players at a press conference, the club’s leadership ultimately chose to part ways.

After taking a break, Coach Conte, who was slowly looking for a new team, appears to have chosen to go to Naples, where Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich) played.

Coach Conte has won the Serie A title four times during his career. Naples, who experienced the joy of winning the league in the 2022-2023 season thanks to Kim Min-jae’s outstanding performance, fell to 10th place (13 wins, 14 draws, 11 losses) the following season when key players left.

Napoli, which reached the plateau of 90 points in the winning season, only gained 53 points in the 2023-2024 season.

After ‘winning coach’ Luciano Spalletti, three leaders, including coach Rudi Garcia, took the helm one after another, but in the end, coach Conte was selected as the right person to lead the rebound. 섯다
