Eom Won-sang, who injured his ankle ligament in the Asian Games soccer team’s warm-up match against China, is on his way home.
The Korea Football Association said, “Um Won-sang’s right ankle ligament was damaged and he gave a half cast,” adding, “I will return home for a thorough diagnosis on the 19th, judging that it is difficult to play in the second warm-up match.”
In his first warm-up match against China, Um Won-sang scored two goals as soon as he was substituted in the second half, playing a decisive role in the 3-1 victory, but he was replaced in the 24th minute of the second half after colliding with a Chinese player.
