Hollywood actor Tom Cruise was spotted at the Bercy Arena in Paris, France, where the gymnastics competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics was held.

According to American entertainment media TMZ on the 1st (local time), Cruise will perform by climbing a rope from the top of the Stade de France stadium where the closing ceremony will be held on the 11th, landing on the stadium, and carrying the Olympic rings. A
pre-recorded video will then be shown during the closing ceremony. In the video, Cruise will take a plane to Los Angeles, the host city of the next Olympics, holding the Olympic rings, and then skydive over the Hollywood Sign, a LA landmark, and hand the Olympic rings to the athletes.
This transfer of the Olympic rings was reportedly proposed directly by Cruz to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Typically, the mayor of the city that hosted the Olympics passes the Olympic rings to the mayor of the city hosting the next Olympics. At the closing ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the governor of Tokyo also passed the Olympic rings to the mayor of Paris.
TMZ explained that Cruz has actively participated in past Olympic events, such as serving as a torch bearer at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
