‘Invincible LG’ rings out in Busan…first regular season title in 29 years

After the LG Twins came from behind to win 7-6 against the Lotte Giants at Sajik Stadium in Busan on April 4, the team began to change into their winning hats and uniforms.

The LG fans in the away stands waited for the team to arrive, singing the team anthem at the top of their lungs.

As the players poured onto the field one by one, LG fans began chanting “LG is invincible” after 29 years of waiting.

LG had traveled from Seoul to Busan for the game the day before and received the news that they had clinched first place in the regular season.

Without playing a game, second-place KT WIZ and third-place NC Dinos lost side-by-side to earn a ticket to the Korean Series “on the bus.

LG sought permission from the home team, Lotte, and organized a “regular season first place ceremony” after the game.

Lotte honored LG’s first-place finish in the regular season by displaying LG’s emblem on its billboards.

While LG has clinched the top spot in the regular season for the first time in 29 years since 1994, Lotte has yet to finish first in the regular season since its inception.

The LG players looked out into the away stands and unfurled a banner that read, “To victory, one Twins, one fan, one result!

Some LG fans were moved to tears with emotion.

The LG players waved banners commemorating their first place finish in the regular season, and some held up jerseys of Go Woo-seok, Moon Bo-kyung, Jung Woo-young (all competing in the Hangzhou Asian Games), Adam Plutko, and 카지노 Ham Deok-ju (injured), who were unable to attend the victory ceremony.

Before the game, LG hung the jerseys of four players – Ko Woo-seok, Moon Bo-kyung, Jung Woo-young, and Ham Deok-ju – on the dugout wall.

Plutko’s jersey was later added by a fan.

Oh Ji-hwan, who led the team as captain for one season, promised, “We will win the Korean Series and win the overall championship.”

LG ended its humble first-place ceremony in Busan with a final chorus of cheers.

The team will celebrate with more fans at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on April 6, the final game of the series.
