‘Daejeon jinx defeated → lead reclaimed after 69 days’ Ulsan looks to continue momentum…travels to Incheon

Ulsan will take on Incheon in the 15th round of the Hana Bank K League 1 2024 at the Incheon Football Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Ulsan currently sits atop the standings with eight wins, three draws, and three losses for 27 points. They snapped a two-game losing streak with a 4-1 home victory over Daejeon Hana Citizens in the 14th round on March 25. On the same day, leaders Pohang Steelers and Gimcheon Sangmu (26 points) were held to a 0-0 draw, giving Ulsan three points and allowing them to regain the lead for the first time in “69 days” since 홀덤사이트 March 17th.

Ulsan finally broke the Daejeon jinx (two draws and two losses in four matches) that has been with them since last season. They also tasted victory for the first time in 3122 days (8 years, 6 months, 22 days) since November 7, 2015.

Ulsan, who finished on the brink of the top three in the table last season, will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their first game of the season and consolidate their lead over Incheon.

They’ll be counting on Martin Adam to get the job done. He scored two goals in three games against Incheon last season. He was in strong form in the first meeting this season (3-3 draw at home on March 17), scoring a multi-goal performance. He was named to Hungary’s final roster for Euro 2024 in June and was rested for the match against Daejeon, so he will be in high spirits. Ulsan will be looking to extend their winning streak and maintain their lead at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, the Korea Football Association announced its roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America on Sunday for the second round of Asian qualifiers against Singapore (June 6 away) and China (June 11 at home). Ulsan’s lineup includes Lee Min-kyu, Uhm Won-sang, Cho Hyun-woo, and Lee Myung-jae. As the defending champions, they have the most Taegeuk Warriors in the K League.
